Experience the extravagant elegance of rail travel
on the most luxurious train in the world. Rovos Rail offers unique rail
travel through some of the most spectacular scenery in Southern Africa.
The trains are beautifully restored and are drawn by either steam, diesel
or electric locomotives, operating at various stages of the journey.
The sleepers, as well as the observation and dining
cars, have been
splendidly refurbished in the style of the Edwardian period, with an eye
for modern comfort. You have the choice of two types of accommodation:
Royal Suites
Spacious and elegant, with the option
of twin or double beds, each suite accommodates two people and also has a
private lounge area and en-suite. The Royal Suites are of considerable
size (approx. 16 sq. meters) and each takes up half a carriage.
Deluxe Suites
Restored with care and finesse, the
Deluxe Suites also accommodate two passengers in either double or twin
beds, with en-suite bathrooms and lounge areas. Each suite is approx. 11
sq. meters.
