Day 2 Mt. Kenya Safari Club Following breakfast a drive through the picturesque farms and coffee plantations to the Mt. Kenya Safari Club. This afternoon is at leisure to enjoy activities such as golf, tennis, bowls, horse-riding and fishing. This evening enjoy a sumptuous 8-course dinner. Overnight at MT. KENYA SAFARI CLUB (B,L,D). Day 3 Samburu After breakfast we drive over the shoulder of Mt. Kenya to Samburu. Situated 90km's north of Mt. Kenya on the north bank of the Uaso Nyiro River is the Samburu National Reserve. Spend the afternoon game viewing in this area of fascinating landscapes and unusual animal species. Be on the lookout for the rare Grevy's zebra, elephant, giraffe and the Somali ostrich. Overnight at SAMBURU SERENA LODGE (B,L,D). Day 4 The Ark Enjoy a hearty breakfast and then proceed to the Ark situated deep in the mountain forest of the Aberdare overlooking a floodlit waterhole. Elephant, rhino, buffalo, and waterbuck may be observed from the comfort of the lodge. Overnight at THE ARK (B,L,D). Day 5 Masai Mara This morning we drive to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch at the Norfolk Hotel. This afternoon you are transferred to the airport for your flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival you are met and taken to MARA SAFARI CLUB, your luxury tented camps for the next three nights. (B,L,D) Day 6 & 7 Masai Mara Two full days in the Mara, game viewing in 4-wheel drive land-cruisers. Everybody hopes to see the "Big Five" - lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino, but just as captivating are the lesser known species such as hyena, cheetah, jackal, warthog and antelope. (B,L,D) Day 8 Nairobi Your final game drive this morning with lunch at the Mara Safari Club. This afternoon you are transferred to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi. You will be met and transferred to the international airport for your flight home or to your next destination. (B,L) |
