Prices are based on tariffs in effect as of October 2002 and are subject to
adjustment without notice in the event of any change.
Responsibility
Tours Africa herein referred to as the Tour Operator, acts only as an agent for
the various companies, owners and contractors providing means of transportation,
accommodation, or other services, and assume no responsibility or liability in
connection with the service of any hotel, aircraft, vessel, motor coach,
carriage or other conveyance which is used wholly or in part, in the performance
of this duty to the passengers, neither will they be responsible for any act,
omission or error, or for any injury, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, or
any neglect or default of any company or person engaged in carrying out the
purposes for which tickets or coupons have been issued. The Tour Operator
assumes no responsibility or liability for errors or omissions resulting from
acts of God, strikes, weather, quarantines, sickness, government regulation or
any loss or expense resulting from the above contingencies. Expenses for said
losses shall be borne by the tour members. In the event it becomes necessary or
advisable for any reason to alter the itinerary or arrangements, the Tour
Operator retains the right to do so. Additional cost for such alterations shall
be borne by the passengers.
Reservations and Deposits
Early reservations are recommended. A $500 non-refundable deposit per person is
required at the time of booking. Final payment is due 60 DAYS prior to the tour
departure.
Cancellation, Conditions and
Charges
For cancellation more than 8 weeks prior to departure, the deposit is forfeited.
For cancellations between 3 and 8 weeks prior to departure - 50% of the tour
costs will be charged. For cancellations under 3 weeks prior to departure - 100%
of the tour costs will be charged. Should you make a change to the original
booking, an administrative charge of $50.00 per booking will be levied for such
changes. Note: no refunds or adjustments will be made for services not used.
Insurance
Medical and trip cancellation/interruption insurance is mandatory through the
Tour Operator and includes protection to baggage, possessions and valuables and
to cover against personal accident.
Travel Documents and Health
Suggestions
Canadian and U.S. citizens must be in possession of a valid passport. Tour
participants must also ensure that they comply with all visa and health
requirements of countries they intend to visit. We are able to provide
information on these requirements. Malaria tablets are recommended.
Final Tour Documents
Final documents are sent to you 3 weeks prior to your departure. It includes the
tour itinerary, hotel list, vouchers and airline tickets.
Airline Responsibility
The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or
event during the time the passengers are not aboard their conveyance. The
passenger contract is used by the airlines concerned when issued, shall
constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of the
ticket.
