Day 2 Full day wineland tour of Paarl and Stellenbosch. A visit to one of South Africa's most famous wine farms for lunch. (B,L) Day 3 This morning you depart for the Cape of Good Hope along one of Africa's most scenic routes, on to Cape Point. After lunch, drive through the historic naval town of Simon's Town, continuing through Muizenberg to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon. (B,L) |

Day 4 Day at leisure. (B) Day 5 George, Oudtshoorn, Knysna After breakfast, transfer from Cape Town airport for your late morning flight to George, the gateway to the Garden Route. From George you will travel to Oudtshoorn for lunch, tour an Ostrich Farm and visit the Cango Caves. From Oudtshoorn, travel via the scenic Montague Pass and onto Knysna for your 3 night stay at the St. James of Knysna. (B) Day 6 Knysna Transfer this morning to the Knysna Train Station for your Choo Tjoe ride to George and the Railway Museum. Return to Knysna for an afternoon boat cruise on the Knysna Lagoon. (B) Day 7 Day at leisure. Discuss various sightseeing options with your driver/guide who is at your disposal. (B) Day 8 Addo Elephant National Park After breakfast, your driver/guide will take you through the Tzitizikamma Forest as you make your way to Gorah Private Lodge located in Addo Elephant National Park and further enjoy an evening game drive (B,L,D) Gorah Elephant Camp is a premier lodge located on the first private concession in a National Park. This 10-bedded luxury tented camp offers game drives in open air landrovers, on foot or horseback. Facilities also include a swimming pool. The main house has been restored to it's 19th century colonial splendour and overlooks a watering hole. Day 9 Durban After your morning game drive and breakfast, transfer to the Port Elizabeth airport for your afternoon flight to Durban. Upon arrival, transfer to Ballito, a small coastal community located 30 km north of Durban for a 3 night stay at The Boathouse. (B) Day 10 Full day tour. You will be taken to a private game reserve in KwaZulu Natal, where you will go on a game drive in an open vehicle. View game in their natural habitat. After lunch, you will experience the Zulu culture. (B) Day 11 Day at leisure. Optional Durban City tour can be arranged. (B) Day 12 Hazyview In the late morning, you will be transferred to the Durban airport for your flight to Kruger International Airport, the gateway to Mpumalanga. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Hazyview and stay for 2 nights at Rissington Inn. (B,D) Day 13 Full day panorama tour. Climb up from 300 - 1700 meters through breathtaking scenery, stopping at historical and scenic places including God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels, the Blyde River Canyon, and the old gold rush town of Pilgrims Rest. (B,L,D) Day 14 GAME RESERVE - see "Choice of Game Reserve" below After breakfast, you are transferred to the Private Game Reserve of your choice for a 2 night stay. Afternoon/evening game drive. (B,L,D) Day 15 Private Game Reserve (B,L,D) Day 16 After your morning game drive and breakfast, you are transferred to Kruger International or Hoedspruit airport for your flight to Johannesburg and connecting flight home. |

CHOICE OF GAME RESERVE O p t i o n A Nottens Bush Lodge Accommodation consists of comfortable, rustic chalets with ensuite bathroom. Three of the five chalets have both indoor and outdoor shower facilities. All windows and sliding doors are fitted with screens and insect repellent coils are provided. All chalets have hot showers but no electricity, paraffin lamps are used for lighting. Djuma Bush Lodge A rather special lodge, with just eight thatched chalets tucked away in indigenous gardens. There are two viewing decks , a library and a plunge pool. Eight thatched rondovels, all ensuite with air conditioning, fans and mosquito nets. O p t i o n B Harry's Camp Harry's Camp was reopened in July 99 after being completly rebuilt. This Mala Mala camp is situated in a prime area of the Sabi Sands. The lodge is tastefully decorated in the Ndebele style and offers lounge, boma and curio shop. There are 10 spacious air conditioned chalets. Kings Camp Situated in the Timbavati Reserve, Kings Camp offers 10 spacious and luxuriously equipped thatched bungalows each with air conditioning, mini-bar, ensuite bathrooms and outdoor showers. Camp facilities include a lounge, bar and swimming pool with a viewing deck overlooking a waterhole and a well equiped gym. Vuyetela Lodge The lodge offers 8 air conditioned luxury suites, all with separate lounge, bedroom with dressing room, ensuite bathroom as well as outdoor shower and private deck with your own plunge pool. Vuyatella features contemporary African art throughout the lodge as well as the suites. 24 hour internet access and gym are also available. Exeter Lodge Nestled in the shade of a grove of Ebony trees and overlooking the Sand River in the Sabi Sands Reserve, this luxury lodge blends a mixture of African decor, together with a colonial style and elegance. The lodge offers 10 luxurious air conditioned rooms and suites. The dining room and lounge area overlook the perennial Sand River and savannah beyond. O p t i o n C Mala Mala This world famous reserve is the largest in the Sabi Sand. Their high standards of service and unparalleled game viewing are legendary and numerous international awards bear testimony to this. The Main Camp can accommodate 50 guests. With a ratio of three staff to one guest, personal service is guaranteed. Accommodation is air conditioned chalets under thatch roof. Londolozi Bateleur & Pioneer Camps The flagship of Conservation Corporation Africa's camps, this luxury reserve was the first game reserve to be accepted as a member of Relais et Chateaux and is also a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Londolozi has three camps: Batelur with 10 chalets, Pioneer with 8 chalets and exclusive Tree Lodge (see Option D) with 6 chalets, all air conditioned. O p t i o n D Londolozi Tree Camp Tree Lodge is the most exclusive of the three Londolozi camps. Six luxurious air conditioned chalets all with private deck and plunge pool. Earth Lodge Sabi Sabi's newest lodge has been sculpted deep into the earth and is almost invisible in the landscape. There are twelve suites, in addition to the Amber Suite, each attended by a private butler and appointed with specially commissioned furnishings, a secluded plunge pool and open air shower. The natural sculptures of Geoffery Armstrong add a powerful magic. Singita This magnificent reserve has spared no expense to create two camps, Ebony and Boulders, which boasts unsurpassed luxury in the African bush. All suites have air conditioning with ensuite bathrooms as well as outdoor showers, private deck with plunge pool, living area and double sided fireplaces. All
game reserves are located in either the Sabi Sand or Timbavati Reserve which
shares its border with the world famous Kruger National Park. This area is
known for its prolific wildlife and is home to the "Big 5"
elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo, along with many other varieties
of animal and bird life.All game reserves are fully inclusive of game activities and meals. Morning and afternoon/evening game drives are in open air land rovers with an expert ranger and Shangaan tracker, to introduce the wonders of the African bush. You also have the opportunity to participate in a bush walk with a ranger.Each reserve has its own personality and style. |
